This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. Candidate must be able set up, adjust and break down production line machinery. Must be able to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system. Candidate must be able to use math as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc. Other tasks include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, squatting, and reaching. Candidate must be willing to lift, push, carry in many areas on the production floor (weight depends on area ranging from 20 - 70 pounds). Candidate must be able to work in cold and or damp environments and these areas may have slippery walking surfaces. Candidate must be able to follow written and verbal instructions. Candidate must be available to work overtime and weekend.
Applicants must have 12 months of work experience in the industrial maintenance field or military maintenance with one employer. If an applicant meets Tyson's minimum requirements for consideration, they may be contacted for an interview. Applicants who have worked for Tyson before may be considered for rehire once if they meet the location s rehire criteria. Applicants who were involuntary terminated from Tyson will not be considered. Applicants who voluntarily terminated from Tyson will not be considered for the following reasons failed to report, walked off job, job abandonment, or no call no show.
