Job Description:

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for working closely with the sanitation clean-up crew(s) in coordinating chain cleaning & equipment repairs; as well as supervising designated maintenance crews, ensuring tracking of budget, and product quality. Other duties include: supervision of maintenance for overhead chains, lubrication, tracking chain stretch, equipment PM's, oil sampling, and keep current records on equipment and notifying upper management of upcoming repairs; managing safety, downtime, budget & overtime, completing work orders for preventative maintenance; developing an upcoming yearly list of required overhauls on equipment; other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: Education: High School diploma,GED, vocational school training or equivalent. Experience: 1+ year(s) in the meat processing industry, specifically in the pork industry; knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and plumbing needed; as well as basic knowledge of refrigeration, boilers & engine room; preference will be given to candidates with previous supervisory experience. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; great interpersonal skills.
