This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.


Maintenance technician position ensures proper maintenance and operational status of equipment. This is done by performing mechanical, electrical and electronic plan equipment maintenance so production downtime is minimized and efficiency is maximized. You must be able set up, adjust and break down production line machinery. Must be able to learn Maintenance software to make work orders and fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system. Must be able to read and write where required. Must be able to use math as needed to make work related computations for machinery. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a daily basis, climb ladders, both, stop and extension and be able to work on your feet for a period of 12 hours in a hot or cold environment. Must be willing to complete all required training for the job. The fabricators make use of machine tools, welding equipment and hand tools to fabricate products. They use specifications, verbal instructions, and technical drawings to execute his her duty of welding the metal pieces. Ability to use MIG, TIG and or stick welders. Knowledge of working with powered fabrication, equipment and hand tools. Ability to use various metal cutting equipment, plasma, acetylene, carbon arc. Abi


Any electrical or controls experience would be beneficial. Willing and able to support safe work practices. Willingness to learn and acquire new relevant skills pertaining to maintenance. Opportunities for advancement commensurate with performance and willingness to learn both inside and outside of Plant Operations. Must be willing to support a 24 7 operation by being available to work weekends, and holidays as needed. You must have at least six (6) months work experience within the last 12 months to be considered for this position. Applicants graduating from High School or College within the last 6 months will have this time counted in lieu of the 6 months collective employment requirement.
