This position is responsible for the transport and delivery of freight on time in a professional manner by driving diesel-powered tractor trailer combinations short and long distances, while complying with Department of Transportation rules and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment, and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
This position is responsible for ensuring that Tyson Foods quality standards are met for the receiving of ingredients, batch production, pellet crumble quality production, and finished feed distribution. Applicant will document key processes under the feed mill manager s direction, including specific instructions, trouble shooting guidelines, details of downtime failure, trouble shoot emergency repairs, incidents, determine first contact for help, follow all FDA USDA guidelines and regulations, perform clean up duties and routine boiler maintenance. Applicant must be self-motivated, able to work unsupervised, must have good math skills, strong communication skills, and basic understanding of computers. This position requires the ability to work flexible hours as start stop times often vary on daily basis and occasionally require non-typical overtime hours and maintain a 98% attendance rate. This position will be exposed on a routine basis to adverse temperatures ranging from hot warm 80-100F degrees, damp and dusty to cold 0-40 F degrees, damp and wet. This position requires applicant to follow the Tyson Foods security standards and perform other duties as necessary and as assigned by the Feed Mill Manager.
