Tyson Foods Division Operations Manager - Raw Poultry Fresh I in Springdale, Arkansas
SUMMARY: This position has comprehensive responsibility for all functional areas of multiple plant locations, including the efficient operation of production, maintenance, personnel, safety, shipping, receiving, sanitation, scheduling, quality and process improvement. The responsibilities of this position include: motivating operation managers to provide guidance and programs to enhance the skill level of their team members; resolving issues related to the quality of incoming and outgoing goods; reviewing cost and performance data to help determine areas in need of improvement; compiling monthly efficiency reports and obtaining approval and executing all capital improvements for the designated facilities. Other duties include: initiating discussion and implementation of improvement in all phases of production; assisting in identifying, evaluating, and correcting problems; food safety and food quality; other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Experience: 10+ years of experience; relevant prepared foods experience a plus.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Supervisory: Managing several groups of personnel who perform diverse tasks and activities in several locations.
Travel: Extensive travel. Relocation: Must be willing to relocate when necessary.

Required to successfully fill in when necessary in the absence of a Plant Mgr. or Group Manufacturing Director level Develop and lead problem resolution and providing optimal solutions for daily operations address, correct and hold accountable Plants that are underperforming. Effectively motivate leadership team to reachshort and long-term goals. Establish and execute training for new Plant Managers. Oversee/manage special projects for the Business Unit. Responsible for identifying key performers for succession planning and assisting to develop the pipeline. Cross-train in other product areas to develop a well-rounded view of the Business Unit. Ensure plants attain safety goals, retention rates and drive positive culture change. Work collaboratively with engineering on projects, equipment purchases and installs setting, reviewing and achieving budgets, annual goals and managing cost. Research and implement alternative methods of efficiency Visual / organizational leader. Thorough understanding of end-to-end cross functional business processes and KPIs (CI, Finance, HR, FSQA, etc.) Ability to create and sell an idea both in written and verbal form to a wide audience.
Ability to develop into a Group Manufacturing Director role in 1-3 years.
