SUMMARY: This role is responsible for being a strategic, thought leader for the Poultry Segment unlocking opportunities to transform internal/industry norms. This role will interface directly with senior management to drive strategy solutions to meet business performance aspirations.

The role will partner as needed with the enterprise strategy team to ensure alignment between corporate and segment aspirations for long term value creation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead portfolio strategy development and inform resource allocation decisions across the poultry portfolio. Lead top priority strategic projects across the business including, but not limited to: Strategic planning process, Growth strategy / opportunity assessment in strategic segments, forward looking, near in business problems, business improvement projects, white space assessment, and network optimization. Identify and evaluate M&A opportunities, playing a lead role in deal sourcing, diligence and deal execution, in partnership. Lead portfolio strategy \"optimization\" for Poultry. Provide portfolio-level perspectives, external insights and best practices that will help identify opportunities and accelerateour efforts.

Guide prioritization of opportunities and focus areas across the portfolio and ensure balance with the growth agenda. Balance focus on delivering current year and identifying further out opportunities.

Effectively work across the organization to build support and buy-in to key opportunities. Partner with Finance and Corporate Strategy to support strategic planning and annual planning across the Segment. Develop and lead communications and discussions with Poultry team and Tyson Senior Leadership team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Strong academic background. Bachelor's degree required, MBA strongly preferred.

Experience: 10 years' experience required. The successful candidate will have a combined 3-5 years as a strategy leader within a high-performing multi-national organization and/or within a consulting firm (traditionally senior associate level or higher). Ideal experience in the CPG or food and beverage industries, with poultry preferred.

Special Skills: Significant knowledge of manufacturing, or commodities industry, including an understanding of product features and business levers is required. Impact-focused, forward-thinking orientation is required for success inthis role.

Other key experience includes exceptional analytic and hypothesis-driven problem-solving skills. Ability to structure approaches and formulate insights around complex business problems. Ability to develop creative solutions and new approaches to address business issues. Relationship-building orientation and strong influencing skills. Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Highly motivated and self-directed. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities and make ongoing decisions. Strong project management, organization and analytical skills. Highest level of integrity and good judgment, with the ability to effectively deal with highly sensitive, confidential information.
