Job Description:


Mergers and acquisitions (M&A) benefit specialist position responsibilities include facilitating the purchase or consolidation of companies from due diligence to full Tyson benefit integration. Potential M&A benefit specialist must be highly flexible in handling a wide range of duties as needs arise; including but not limited to collecting and organizing all benefits, health and welfare plan documents and information received for mergers and acquisitions - which will require an individualized assessment and a side by side comparison. Other responsibilities include monitoring and reporting of ancillary programs (Flexible Spending, Health Reimbursement, Health Savings & Commuter Accounts); collaborateswith subrogation vendor and internal Worker's Compensation department on requests for claims and disability payments; handles history transfers, incapacitated child eligibility, case management issues and coordinates all areas of care for transplant recipients; handles all claim appeals and high cost claims - collects information, does research and follow up with Third Party Administrators and notification to participants; handles issues of fraudulent claims and identity theft with Employment Compliance and Third Party Administrators, providers and legal department; subpoenas.


EDUCATION: Associates degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience

EXPERIENCE: 3+ years of experience in Health & Welfare benefits administration.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Requires standard computer skills, to include Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint. Must be proficient in SAP.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Strong verbal and written communication skills; must have the ability to communicate business information to other team members, senior management and health plan administrators.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Strong organizational skills and problem-solving skills; demonstrated success in managing multiple projects; must have the ability to both work effectively with a team, work independently with little supervision; able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines, and requires discretion in handling confidential matters.

LOCATION: This position is in Springdale, Arkansas at Tyson Corporate office.

TRAVEL: 1-3 domestic trips per year
