This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Applicants will be considered for a General Mechanic opening in Maintenance Department for executing maintenance and repair work associated with CMMS work orders including repairing line equipment (mixers, grinders, clipper stuffers, slicers, labelers, multivacs, etc) pre-check and setup of equipment cutting, welding electrical work and other duties as assigned. Be willing and able to tolerate temperatures of 35 degrees or below for entire shift. Be able to lift 40-60 pounds to shoulder height repeatedly. Be able to walk and stand on cement floor for the shift duration. Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions. Must have basic math skills and computer knowledge. Ability to read and comprehend product specifications sheets, assess equipment and demonstrate mechanical knowledge Working knowledge of USDA regulations, plant sanitation standards and procedures preferred.
3 years Mechanic experience preferred. Must be available to work all shifts, including weekends, and available for overtime.
