Description

This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product thru the production process and insuring proper ingredients supplies are being used on the line. Responsible for monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed and notifying supervisor if machines should require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks

Responsible for ensuring all production equipment is set up and prepared per production schedule, including labels, batter, stuffing, etc. Oversee machine operations and makes minor equipment adjustments. Performs Weight checks, metal detections and other quality and USDA required inspections and paperwork. May perform basic maintenance on machines. Contacts Maintenance Mechanic if necessary. Interacts with Line Leads to determine equipment set-up and operation. May be responsible for adjusting formers, batter, and packaging when production changeovers occur. Will work on production line and ensure product standard. Must have mechanical aptitude. Must be able to become Lock Out Tag Out certified. Ability to enter data into computer system. Physical demands include bending and be willing to lift up to 50 pounds and pushing up to 100 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.

Requirements

Must have up to one month of experience as a Machine Operator. Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends.
