This position is responsible for entry level non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Must be able to continuously perform physical labor in a cold, humid environment up to 12 hours a day. Ability to tolerate working in freezer environment (-5 degrees) on a regular basis. Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry 40+lbs on a continuous basis. Must be able to perform proper lifting techniques. Must be able to work quickly and efficiently. Must be able to stand while operating a forklift safely and walk a great deal in order to traverse the dock. Perform other duties as assigned.
Applicants must have at least 6 months of work experience with a single employer and no unacceptable gaps in employment. Must take and pass a forklift operator s test within the 90 day probationary period. Must reside in the Kansas City Metropolitan area to be considered an applicant.
