This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.


This position is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of the plant s refrigeration equipment. Maintain, operate and monitor refrigeration system working with other refrigeration personnel. Make hourly rounds of the holding freezer, cooler and spiral freezers Monitor and maintain oil levels in the refrigeration equipment Troubleshoots and repairs any minor breakdowns in equipment Continuous cleaning and painting of refrigeration room and all refrigeration equipment


Industrial maintenance background (minimum 1 year experience). Vocational technical training certificates preferred. Ammonia and refrigeration background or equivalent school desired. Basic electrical controls, welding, cutting and pipe fitting. Must have some knowledge of all basic hand tools, to include but not limited to, power tools, welders, saws, drills, grinders and all other tools that are specific to the nature of the equipment being utilized at this facility. Must have basic machine mechanics tool set. Basic computer skills. Position will work 11-hour shifts and overtime as required. New hire must be willing to train on day shift for approximately 2 to 3 months before starting 2nd shift schedule.
