This position is responsible for operating machinery and could include ongoing production flow while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Applicants will be considered for any open machine operating position on the shift designated in the posting, such as day, evening or night shift. This position may be required to work Saturdays and overtime. The positions consist of operating packaging machines, grinders or stuffers and may include tow motors. The setup, tear down or clean equipment i.e., packaging machines, grinders or stuffers and may include tow motors, may be also required. This position may count, weigh or document product counts and or times, and must be able to perform all positions of rotation. This person will comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF Requirements.
This person must be able use arms and hands above shoulder level and be able to lift 40 lbs. This person must be able to work in extreme hot or cold temperatures in a damp environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. This person must be able to read labels, computer screens, use handheld scanners, and be able to perform basic math calculations. Perform any other work as assigned by supervisor.
