Description

This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the refrigeration systems while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks

Maintain daily operation of engine rooms and other components of the refrigeration systems. Daily rounds include the operation of boilers and all other support systems. Must participate in Plant HazMat team. Must pass Pulmonary Function Test (PFT).

Requirements

Must be knowledgeable in the operation of a two-stage ammonia refrigeration system. Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions. Must be able to lift 80 pound bags of salt. Position is subject to frequent bending and squatting. Work a flexible schedule and be available for any shift. A strong work ethic and ability to work and communicate with others is essential for this position. Be able to be certified though RETA courses and continue with further ammonia education.
