This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product thru the production process. Responsible for monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed and notifying supervisor if machines should require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.


Loads and unloads product into cook tanks, mixes, ingredients, transports product, sets up and cleans equipment, checks equipment to insure proper operation, adjusts as needed, locates equipment, communicates the order of product to be cooked, utilizes lock-out procedures when cleaning equipment, labels all cookers to match product being cooked, monitors temperatures as specified for each product, rotates racks, removes cooked products, loads raw product, records information, maintains process and other records, maintains clean work area, follows TYSON USDA safety, sanitation and other work rules, operates pallet jack, utilizes safe work practices to avoid injury to themselves and others. Perform other duties as required or assigned


Must be able to read and follow verbal and written instruction sufficiently to understand and communicate information, sufficient physical ability to vertically move materials up to 100 lbs. from 4 to 38 and horizontally a distance of 5 without mechanical assistance occasionally, vertically move materials up to 50 lbs. from 4 to 38 and horizontally a distance of 75 without mechanical assistance frequently, vertically move materials up to 50 lbs. from 67 to 4 and horizontally a distance of 15 without mechanical assistance, vertically move materials up to 50 from 4 to 40 , horizontally move bins exerting forces up to 70 lbs. and upper extremity forces up to 70 lbs., climb steps ladders, able to tolerate heights up to 10 , walk up to 2 miles in an 8 hour shift, sufficient near, far, color and depth perception vision to perform operations, able to tolerate both humid and cold environment, certified to operate pallet jack. Must have 3 consecutive months work history within the past 12 months.
