This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
These positions work in all departments of this pork processing facility, performing preventative maintenance repairing equipment used in production such as conveyor lines, trolley systems, Rendering machinery, and hydraulic systems. Prefer Candidates with knowledge and experience at least in one of the following Industrial Maintenance Fields, HAVC, Electrical, Machine Repair, Hydraulic Repair, Plumbing and Metal Fabrication. Team Members will participate, and adhere to all Plant Safety programs and procedures including OSHA policies. All positions will require successful completion of Lockout Tagout and Fall Arrest Prevention training as well as completing proper required training for the award of Level 5 within One (1) year from hire date. Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching are required in all areas. Lifting is required in many areas to perform job functions. (weight depends upon area). These positions work in a cold, damp or hot and humid environment and these areas have slippery walking surfaces
Must be willing to work Nights and or in Any Department depending on Plant openings. Maintenance crews may run 6 days a week, and will include Shifts on Sundays, and some major Holidays when necessary. Must be able to work Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching are required in all areas. Lifting is required in many areas (weight depends upon area). Must be able to work in a cold, damp or hot and humid environment. High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required All job offers are based on the conditions that the candidate can provide proof of authorization to work legally within the U.S. and pass a urinalysis screening, which is part of a post-offer health assessment.
