Description

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks

With minimal supervision provides industrial maintenance support to ensure the safe and effective operation of a state of the art, team based and highly automated meat processing facility located in Kansas City, KS. The Maintenance Technician-Refrigeration, safely operates and performs a variety of maintenance activities including corrective maintenance (MC), Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Predictive maintenance (PdM) for various industrial systems including but not limited to plant utilities, ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, steam, water, gas, waste water, compressed air, and building systems. Must be able to safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned facility systems and the ability to effectively interact with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals. This position will be exposed to a cold damp work environment with temperatures ranging from 28-42 degrees. Must be willing to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a fast paced environment and requires repetitive motions.

Requirements

Applicants must be in current position for a minimum of 6 months and meet the minimum requirements of the position. Applicant must have no adverse disciplinary actions on file regarding your performance or safety in effect and are not currently on a performance improvement plant within the last 6 months. Applicants must have no more than 4 attendance points to be eligible. Must be willing and able to lift, push, or carry up to 50lbs. and work in a faced-paced environment and requires repetitive motions. Must be able to stand, bend, reach overhead, and twist for long periods of time. Must be able to stand 8-12 hours a day on hard floor.
