Tyson Foods Customer Development Manager- SEG and Piggly Wiggly in Jacksonville, Florida
This position is responsible for the overall customer and business development for SEG and Piggly Wiggly Carolina. This position will be responsible for SEG and Piggly Wiggly Carolina located in Jacksonville FL and Charleston SC.
These responsibilities include but are not limited to: achieving sales volume and financial objectives; having a qualified broker in place to manage various facets of the retailers business on behalf of Tyson Foods; developing and maintaining strong and effective customer relationships; being aligned with the BU's and executing the BU initiatives and strategies; being a champion for upholding, growing and stewarding Tyson culture and our core values; providing effective, timely, and concise communication throughout the internal and external organization as it pertains to the Tyson Foods business at these customers.
This position is also responsible for building category growth with our retailer partners; achieving distribution targets; developing the promotional strategies that deliver efficient and effective spending for trade promotional dollars; working closely with the Customer Insights Manager to ensure business development is aligned with consumer behavior for the retailer.
Additional responsibilities include: managing trade funds to stay within assigned budgets; properly planning expenses and staying within assigned travel and entertainment budgets; ensuring the timely resolution of financial reconciliation - both Accounts Receivable /Accounts Payable / deduction management, as well as timely /accurate administrative duties; keeping management informed of market conditions, competitive activity, and marketplace intelligence.
Education: Requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Experience: 5+ years experience. Prefer Tyson experience and/or protein experience selling in supermarket channel.
Location: Position will be in Jacksonville FL. Area
Computer Skills: Requires intermediate computer skills; for example, generating business letters, spreadsheets, or creating queries, business plan development in the account review system, power point presentation development and Tyson Business System interaction.
Travel: 4-6 or more trips per year
