This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.


Maintenance Generalist positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. This includes repairing and maintaining the operating conditions of the machinery and equipment, troubleshooting problems that occur in the day- to-day operation of the facility. The position requires performing work involving hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and mechanics in general as well as some welding. The team member will also set up, adjust and break down production line machinery and complete daily documentation this is required. The Team Member must be able to lift 50 to 100lbs and work while standing or walking on hard floors for a period of 12 hours.


Must be able to work weekends, overtime and holidays when required. Must be able to communicate effectively to all employees and management to resolve mechanical failures as well as be able to read manuals in order to repair equipment safely. Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing and be able to record information using company provided forms and procedures. Basic computer skills required for use of company computer systems to record information if needed. Must be able to work in hot and cold environments. If applicant is internal the additional criteria applies Must not have any disciplinary actions in the personnel file, which includes written warnings and written warnings with suspension within the last 6 months. Must have 8 or less attendance points. Successful bidders may not be allowed to bid for six (6) months, unless the bid is for a higher classification rating.
