This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product thru the production process and insuring proper ingredients supplies are being used on the line. Responsible for monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed and notifying supervisor if machines should require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Employee is responsible for assisting Manufacturing in different areas. Enter all needed information in EIM and plantview. Be able to read the daily schedule and determine polar sequence. Must learn all Operator SOP s and basic functions of each machine. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Enter all required information into the Plant.View QA System. Be able to set-up and teardown and wash equipment. Complete all required production documents and submit to supervisor. Report any issues related to maintenance or quality of the product to supervisor.
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or one to two years related experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Plant View, SAP is preferred. Forklift certified or must become certified. Ability to operate equipment using a touch screen. 1 year of machine operator experience is required. Must have at least 6 months continuous work history with the same employer in the last 12 months. Recent graduates or students currently in school within the last 6 months must add this information under the education notes section Recruiting areas-Harris County.
