This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Maintenance Mechanic positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. This includes repairing and maintaining the operating conditions of the machinery and equipment, troubleshooting problems that occur in the day-to-day operation of the facility. The position requires performing work involving hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, general mechanics as well as some welding. The Team Member will also set up, adjust and break down production line machinery and complete daily documentation that is required. The Team Member must be able to lift 75lbs or more and work while standing or walking on hard floors for a period of 10-12 hours. The Team Member must be able to complete all required training for the job and perform any other duties as assigned. Must be able to work in hot and cold environments.
Must have 1 year of Maintenance experience or equivalent Vocational Training Certification and also needs to be able to become HAZMAT certified. Must be able to work all shifts, including weekends, and available for overtime. Must be able to communicate effectively to all employees and management to resolve mechanical failures as well as be able to read manuals in order to repair equipment safely. *If an applicant meets Tyson's minimum requirements for consideration, they may be contacted for an interview.
