This position is responsible for ensuring all related equipment and area is performing to production standards while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures
Applicants will be considered for a boxer opening on first shift. Applicants may be considered for working on a pizza crust or flour tortilla line. Jobs are fast pace and require repetitive motion. Some work is performed in temperature controlled rooms while work in other rooms can be extremely hot during the summer months. All work requires lifting 30 lbs routinely while frequently lifting up to 50 lbs, walking, standing and bending. Applicants will be trained on company computer system and required production paperwork. Applicants must be able to work overtime and weekends when required. Applicants must follow all safety programs. Follow all company safety rules, regulations and documentation. Prepare all materials needed for packaging per production sheet. Follow policies and procedures related to Electronic Inventory Management (EIM) scanners. Assist in preparing boxes and labels per production sheet (approx. 1,000-1,800 boxes per day). Operate label printer. Box the product following boxing parameters to ensure that quality requirements are maintained and documented. Follow all GMP s. Clean all equipment in accordance with the SOPs. Maintain control of all equipment and tools. Responsible for following company policie
You must have six months of work history with one employer in the past 18 months. Applicants that have listed more than 6 months within last 18 months with one temporary agency with no other significant employment will be disqualified. Applicants must have some computer experience and ability to add and subtract. Your application is only active for the current month in which you applied. You will need to reapply next month to have an active application and be considered for employment. Must be able to read and understand the boxing daily paperwork including EIM scanners. Must be able to document in writing information related to the product. Requires 100% flexibility of wrists and hands. Walking, bending, standing and some lifting required. Must be able to tolerate heights up to 10 feet off the ground on occasion. Lifting of up to 60 lbs. on an occasional basis. Must be able to move heavy objects (100 lbs.) with mechanical device. Must be able to perform essential functions of job with or without reasonable accommodation. Must complete boxer 3 certifications. Must be approved or have ability to be approved to operate an electric pallet jack.
