This position is responsible for the transport and delivery of freight on time in a professional manner by driving diesel-powered tractor trailer combinations short and long distances, while complying with Department of Transportation rules and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment, and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Job involves lifting and moving auger, bending and pulling auger under tanks.Hydraulics only lift auger, so it is the responsibility of the driver to position correctly and perform all duties specified in any weather condition.
Must be 21 years of age with a valid current CDL. Have at least one year of driving experience. Must have good verbal and written communication skills to understand highway traffic signs signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records. Basic math skills are also required. Must be familiar with DOT regulations. Must be capable of performing all current DOT pre post driving inspections. Must be willing to perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor. Applicants from the following counties will be considered Guadalupe, Comal, Bexar, Travis, Gonzales, Caldwell, Hays and Wilson.
