This position is responsible for operating machinery and maintaining production flow while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Applicants will be considered for any forklift start type opening on any shift, such as day, evening or night shift as well as overtime and weekends if required. Applicants will be considered for openings in any department that may include, but are not limited to Warehouse or Shipping and Receiving. Must accept work in a cold and damp environment with temperatures ranging from - 10 to 34 degrees. Jobs are fast paced and require repetitive motion. Some positions require lifting, pushing and pulling up to 40+ lbs. Material Handling and Receiving positions require lifting 70+ lbs. Constant standing, walking, and riding of powered material handling equipment (forklifts, stand up lifts). Must be able and willing to stand throughout 8-10 hour shifts. Specialized training for powered industrial trucks required to be qualified within Tyson Foods, Inc. Must be willing to train for and pass forklift license training, as well as, read and understand to operate RF equipment. Must be willing to work overtime and weekends. Must be willing to accept and carry through on request and directions given. Must be willing to learn other duties. Must have worked 3 of the last 6 months with one employer. REHIRE POLICY- Rehires will be considered if ALL of the following applies 1. You have only worked for Tyson one time previously. 2. You worked for Tyson for at least 6 months. 3. It has been at least 6 months since your last employment with Tyson. 4. You left your employment at Tyson for one of the following reasons Moving Away, Excessive Hours, Another Job, Work Environment, Transportation, Return to School, Lack of Job Satisfaction, Work Schedule, Stay Home with Children, ID Protocol, Retirement, Personal Reasons, Permanent Layoff, or Expired Work Eligibility Documents.
