Description

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks

This position is responsible for all preventative maintenance, including lubrication, adjustment, rebuilding, scheduled service, cleaning and assisting operators on change over. Responsibilities include maintaining proper housekeeping in the work area as well as keep equipment clean and orderly at all times, daily checks of all equipment in their assigned area, track and maintain all required records and observe and promote all plant safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) specifications, and any other assigned responsibilities by management. Other tasks in this position will be to stand, sit, bend, walk, stretch, climb, push, pull, kneel, squat and reach. The team member must be willing to lift, carry, push, pull 20-70 pounds. Candidate must be willing to work in the cold or heat (10 degrees below zero to 105 degrees) or damp environments and these areas may have slippery walking surfaces. Candidate must be able to work overtime and weekends. This position requires basic computer skills in order to complete required training and or tasks. Candidate must be able to identify parts and supplies needed to complete job tasks. Candidate must have the ability to verbally communicate material effectively in a training environment.

Requirements

Applicants must show at least one year of maintenance experience in one of the following environments Manufacturing, industrial, air craft maintenance, agriculture maintenance, or military maintenance OR have two years of technical vocational education. If an applicant meets Tysons minimum requirements for consideration, they may be contacted for an interview.
