This position is responsible for operating a fork lift to ensure the continuous flow of product thru the shipping and receiving process, verifying, counting, and stacking. This position also requires basic computer knowledge, simple math, continuous work in subzero temperatures, while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Team member must insure paperwork is done correctly and consistently allowing products to be traced. Team members are responsible for keeping the work area safe and clean for fellow employees including docks and trailers. Team members are also responsible for loading product in the most ergonomic way for the driver using P.I.T. equipment. Ensure that product is loaded correctly (ergonomically correct) and accurately using quality pallets and undamaged products. Team members are also required to practice proper lifting procedures. Checker Operators are responsible for inventory accuracy within their work area. Team members must be familiar with company policies, procedures, TQC parameters, HACCP and GMP s. Perform all duties in accordance with company policy and established procedures. In the event of absence the next level down the organizational chart covers the next level up. Candidate has an individual responsibility to report all possible deficiencies that could compromise food safety. Team members are to adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at all times.
