This position is responsible for operating machinery and could include ongoing production flow while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.


Drivers are responsible to shag trailers to various on-site locations at the plant, climb in and out of the shag tractor, open trailer doors and put safety devices in place (jack stand and wheel chalks) and perform other duties as needed. Must be able to routinely push, pull, carry and lift 40 pounds or more and use hands and arms above shoulder level. Work outdoors, 8 to 10 hours a day, in all types of weather.


Must have a valid driver s license and the ability to operate a shag truck while working safely in a fast paced environment. Shag driving experience preferred but not required. PBX is a 7 days a week 24 hours a day operation. Shifts can be either 4 or 5 days a week and may include weekends depending on the shift. Must be able to work the shift(s) that is currently open. All job offers are based on conditions that the candidate can pass a urinalysis screening, which is part of the post-offer health assessment. Applicants who have worked for Tyson 3 times will not be considered.
