Description

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks

Maintenance Technicians are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. This includes repairing and maintaining the operating conditions of the machinery and equipment, trouble shooting problems that occur in the day-to-day operation of the facility. The position requires performing work involving hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity and mechanics in general as well as some welding. Set up, inspect, adjust and break down machinery in the facility and complete daily documentation that is required. Must be able work in various positions and walk and stand on hard surfaces for a period of 10-12 hours. Work is performed both outdoors and indoors in a mixed environment from extreme hot cold wet dry. The position requires use of hands and arms above shoulder level and the ability to push, pull, carry and lift 40 pounds or more. Willing to complete all required training for the job and perform any other duties assigned.Maintenance Technicians are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. Requirements

Must be able to work safely in a fast paced environment wearing all safety equipment required. Maintenance runs 7 days a week, normally working either 4 or 5 day shifts of which one of the days is Sunday. Must be able to work the shift(s) that is currently open. Must be mechanically inclined and be able to communicate effectively to all employees and management to resolve mechanical failures as well as be able to read manuals in order to assemble or repair equipment safely. Six months of previous industrial maintenance experience or equivalent training is preferred but not required. All job offers are based on conditions that the candidate can pass a urinalysis screening, which is part of the post-offer health assessment. Applicants who have worked for Tyson 3 times will not be considered.
