This position is responsible for entry level non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.


The primary goal is be able to perform every job within the department which might include Stacker Palletizer Must be able reach up to 6' and stack up to approximately 40b. boxes of finished product from a roller belt onto a pallet and wrap the pallet when completed Packer Must be able to visually inspect and pack individual bags of product into a box and onto a conveyor belt to be taped before being shipped Floor Technician Must maintain a clean work area throughout the shift which includes cleaning the floors with a low pressure water hose and setting up and dumping condemn barrels Grader Must be able to visually inspect the product, sort and grade defective product effectively and place it in its designated area for rework Spreader Must be able to sort and align product within the parameters established on the belt and marinating system Must maintain a clean work area throughout the shift by removing excess build up and packaging materials in the work area. May be required to change from one task to another of different nature without loss of efficiency or composure. Performs all other duties as assigned and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures.


Continuously within shift Standing, Walking, Ascend descending, Bending Stooping, Twist at waist, Pushing Pulling Lifting up to 40 lbs, Reaching above shoulder. Must be able to do repetitive motions with the hands and shoulders to perform the job tasks daily as needed. Requires working on an elevated area approximately 128 inches from the floor. Requires use of stairs. The number of steps required to ascend descend would be from 3 to 21 steps. The temperature on the majority of the production floor ranges from 45 48 F. The temperature in the fryer room is approximately 77 F. The fryer room is humid and can become smoky at times. Must be able to work in other environmental conditions such as wet, dry, and slippery floors.
