SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing support on environmental at a complex facility(s) to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Additionally, this position is responsible for obtaining data on environmental and safety programs, support training activities, and ensuring all regulatory reports from a complex are submitted to government agencies in a timely manner. Environmental duties include dealing with Clean Water Act issues, including NPDES permitted discharges of wastewater and storm water. Other duties include; working on nutrient management plans for company and contract growers; support cleanup of spills; non-hazardous and hazardous wastes; implementation of [pollution prevention activities; management of all community right to know programs including Form R, Tier II, risk management plans and Clean Air Act issues; other duties as needed.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or Safety.
Experience: 1+ years' work experience.
Computer Skills: Standard computer skills.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Special Skills: Knowledge of wastewater treatment systems and managing/ operating biological processes.
Travel: 1-5 domestic trips per year.
