This position is responsible setting up receiving area, documenting, directing forklift drivers and confirming WIP while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Must be willing to take daily inventory in all areas of maintenance, which include the Parts Room, Maintenance Shop and other remote locations. Must be willing to reconcile inventory in SAP and compare from daily and weekly counts completed on the floor. Must inspect the storage areas at start of shift and report any deficiencies to supervisor. Must be willing to move and carry boxes weighting up to 30 lbs. with or without assistance. Must be willing to walk, stand and perform the counts in a non-production environment. Must be willing to use computer in order to complete job task, familiarity of programs would include Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook. Must be willing to communicate well with all other team members, problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Successful candidate must be able to verbally communicate with all maintenance supervisors. Must be willing to work in a 5 S environment and help keep work areas tidy and organized. Willing to work weekends, holidays and flexible to changing shifts when needed.
Position work timeframe is from 8am 5pm. Must have 0 written warning within the last 12 months. Must have no more than 5 points to be considered for this position. Must be willing to complete and pass the specialized training of powered material handling equipment. (Ex forklifts and scissor lifts) Will train, however, candidate will be assessed after 15 days and 30 days. If at the end of 30 days, the candidate does not meet expectations, they will be withdrawn. Withdrawn candidate will have the opportunity to bid on any other open positions. Candidate must take a class 1 position if there are no other jobs to bid on. Successful candidate will have 6 months of continuous work experience.
