Summary: This position will be a member of the Continuous Improvement Team supporting the Tyson Distribution Business Unit. This position will develop, implement, and maintain engineered Labor Standards within Tyson Distribution business unit including complexes/plants and distribution centers. This position works within a team environment and is also responsible for ensuring that communication and promotion of the labor standards and opportunities for improvement are understood across BU leadership. Responsibilities include: develop and implement engineered labor standards within Warehouse Labor Management system; audit and maintain standards as process changes occur; communicate and initiate productivity improvement activities; and provide technical guidance and support to operations to maintain optimal performance. This position will be part of a team responsible for managing labor standards at all facilities within Tyson Distribution Business Unit.
Education: BS in Industrial Engineering, or equivalent technical degree preferred.
Experience: 5+ years' experience in engineering or operations; experience in implementing engineered labor standards, JDA/Red Prairie,Continuous Improvement, Warehouse Management Systems or Labor Management Systems preferred.
Computer Skills: Standard computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office tools required; ability to create written documentation; familiarity with JDA Warehouse Labor Management systems a plus.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Special Skills: Excellent leadership, consultative and interpersonal skills, demonstrated organizational skills and detailed, results-oriented focus.
Travel: 80% plus travel is required to Tyson Foods locations

Engineer III Labor Management System
Full Time / Part Time:
The LMS Engineer II is responsible for driving moderately complex labor management and process improvement engagements across GEODIS' distribution network, utilizing labor management tools to drive productivity, developing best practices for warehouse processes, and creating/running reports that inform stakeholders of warehouse productivity. This role will take on more of a leadership role for internal team initiatives that optimize GEODIS' productivity. Primary Duties
Establishes engineered or reasonable expectancies labor standards and maintains labor management system (RedPrairie) in an advanced capacity to ensure accurate goal times for warehouse jobs.
Performs advanced configuration of the labor management tool
Identifies savings opportunities and defines process improvement projects to drive costs out of operations.
Creates and maintains informational and graphical reports that can be used by the field operations to drive labor productivity.
Works with warehouse operations teams to educate on how standards work and also understands how to use tool to drive productivity.
Participates in the implementation of new business initiatives by assisting initiative owner with data collection and analyzes initiatives to anticipate possible roadblocks and identify possible solutions.
Assists with conducting root cause analysis and develops data analysis tools, i.e. labor planning, slotting, etc. to assist operation management

Ability to understand job descriptions and be able to use time measurement devices to estimate how much time it should take for someone to complete job.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial or technical reports
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively communicate process and technical concepts to a variety of audiences from entry level warehouse employee to executive level
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
