Tyson Foods Sr Group Controller in Dakota Dunes, South Dakota
SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to structure, lead, and direct the Tyson Fresh Meats Margin Accounting team to support the successful achievements of Tyson Fresh Meats business units and Finance and Accounting goals. Specific responsibilities include: Facilitating communication and understanding of the business drivers, operational, and financial results of Tyson Fresh Meats; ensuring timely, accurate, and actionable information is provided to Tyson Fresh Meats Leadership team; accomplishing fiduciary obligations to Tyson Fresh Meats through development of the necessary and effective controls of the master data, processes, databases, and systems. Other responsibilities include directing the following groups: Fresh Meats Sales and Marketing Accounting; Bruss Accounting; Fresh Meats Operation Services Accounting and Fresh Meats Product Accounting.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance
Experience: 15+ years' experience in meat industry. Corporate and Plant Accounting a plus, accounting supervisory experience required; MBA, CPA, CFA or other similar designations helpful.
Computer Skills: Standard computer skills; efficient in the use of PC and spreadsheet software, efficient in the use of DBII database query system.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with all level of Team Members; ability to communicate information
Special Skills: Strong critical thinking skills and decision making; strong analytical capabilities; strong understanding of our business and what drives success
Supervisory: Supervise three group controllers and one divisional controller.
