This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Applicants will be considered for any general maintenance openings. Applicants may expect to work in all areas of the plant to include, outside on roof tops. The environment can be hot, cold, humid, wet and vary from -20 to 120 degrees. Applicants may expect to work multiple levels, utilize stairs and work at heights.
General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production flow with minimal down time while maintaining a safe work environment. Must be willing to Setup, adjust and teardown equipment. Must be mechanically inclined and willing to perform welding tasks, electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics. Must be able to demonstrate hands on abilities and skills will be enhanced through computer based training modules. Must have 6 months of continuous work history with a single employer to be considered.
