Tyson Foods Senior Customer Development Manager- Kroger in Cincinnati, Ohio
This position is responsible for leading, building and implementing collaborative business solutions which are aligned with both Tyson and Kroger's objectives that achieve desired business results in the Fresh tray pack chicken and Cornish categories.
Responsibilities of this position are to manage the sale and profitable growth of Tyson's fresh tray pack chicken and Cornish business with Kroger, provide sales leadership, support and timely communication to the customer and to the Tyson Business Units. This position is responsible for planning, forecasting and budgeting the volume and growth rate aligned with both the customer's and Tyson Business Unit's objectives.
Responsibilities include but not limited to: achieving sales volume and financial objectives; develop and lead strategic customer relationships for collaboration and joint sales planning; higher interaction with customer sales planning team in off-site customer office location; provide timely, concise and effective communication both internally and externally; and aligning and executing multiple business strategies. Due to fresh product nature of the business, job can require after hours interaction, including weekends, to trouble-shoot and resolve issues.
Essential Duties include Planning, forecasting and achieving high volume annual growth quotas; managing weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual business reviews to the customer and Tyson; provide Tyson field support direction and communication; special project planning and execution; T&E, Deduction, AR resolution and reduction; weekly sales reports; planning and managing annual promotional spending/calendar; track and report competitive activities; conduct price and volume contract negotiations; collaborate with production and production planning to optimize production flow and efficiencies; collaborate with various internal TEAMS to create winning business propositions that benefit Tyson and Kroger; working with the CSR TEAM to manage and improve customer service; live out the Tyson Customer Promise, core values, and 5 C's daily.
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Experience: 7+ years of experience- industry sales experience preferred. 2+ years sales experience in Retail channel and/or 2+ years National Accounts Direct Sales Experience with Kroger preferred.
Computer Skills: Standard computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft office applications.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills; public speaking and presentation skills.
Supervisory: Responsible for supervising a person or small group of persons in the same department who perform(s) similar and/or interrelated tasks.
Travel: 12 + domestic trips per year.
