Description

This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by insuring the Supervisor s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position will also monitor all equipment to insure it is working properly and notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks

Monitoring packing line and product efficiency. Assisting associates with various duties. Work in a safe manner and encourage others to do so. Report all unsafe acts and conditions immediately. Lead area in achieving plant quality objectives goals. Monitor the skill level of all packers in assembly line and that all receive needed training. Lead area in achieving plant quality objectives goals. Must be willing and able to lift up to 50lbs when required. Must be willing and able to work in an environment with extreme temperatures ranging from 39F to 90F. Must adhere to all GMP and safety guidelines while performing job duties. Team member has an individual responsibility to report all possible deficiencies that could compromise food safety.

Requirements

Must maintain and submit proper paperwork. Must be able to use basic math skills when completing production paperwork including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing. Must be willing to work overtime and weekends when required. Must have held a position for six (6) months within the past twelve (12) months with same employer. High school diploma or equivalent
