Description

This position is responsible for entry level non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks

These positions could work in any department of the Processing or Slaughter facility. Some positions require the ability to push, pull, lift and carry 40 pounds or more. Must work in extreme cold or hot, wet environments, use of hands and arms above shoulder level and stand 8-10 hours per day. ATTENTION Positions in Processing will involve use of a knife and hook to bone out or trim large pieces of product or involve the use of powered equipment such as saws or skinner machines. Positions in Slaughter will involve use of a knife and hook to remove the hide from the cattle, trim large pieces of product or run heavy pieces of equipment. Some positions may involve the use of powered equipment such as air knives, wizard knives, saws and skinner machines.

Requirements

Must be available to work A or B shift. This facility runs up to 6 days a week, Monday through Saturday. Applicants must have 3 months consecutive work experience on any of the following jobs Clod Puller, Chuck Boner, Bone Arms, Bone Ribs, Tenderloin Puller, Pull 13th Rib Feather Bone, Pull Finger Button Bones, Bone top Sirloin, Drop Rounds or Saw Operator, Dejoint Heads, Raise Gullets, Gutter, 1st or 2nd Legger, 1st or 2nd Butter, Lowbacker or Split Saw Operator. Applicants from the following Texas counties will be considered Potter, Randall, Moore, Parmer, and Deaf Smith. All job offers are based on the conditions that the candidate can provide proof of authorization to work legally in the United States and pass a urinalysis screening, which is part of the post-offer health assessment.
