This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.


1. Applicants will be considered for any refrigeration maintenance Tech position open. 2. If an applicant meets the minimum requirements for consideration they may be contacted for an interview. 3. Applicants must be willing to work overtime and weekends. 4. Some departments are hot wet and some are cold wet. 5. Position require pushing pulling or lifting over 40 lbs. and climbing ladders above 10 feet. 6. The work schedule is 6 days a week and 7 if production woks on Saturday. 7. Position requires standing approximately 8.5 hours day on concrete floor. 8. Requires being a member of the Plant Hazmat Team. 9. Must be able to complete computer based training and entering work into the SAP system. 10. Requires using SCBA equipment. 11. All other duties assigned by management.


1. Applicants must meet work history requirements for prior employment of at least 8 continuous months with one employer within the past 24 months. 2. Applicants must have at least 6 months industrial refrigeration experience or be a recent graduate from an accredited school for industrial refrigeration. 3. Position requires passing a Level 4 pulmonary function test and physical and be recertified each year to maintain position. 4. Requires being clean shaven in order to get a proper fit while using SCBA equipment. 5. Recruitment will be from the following Alabama Counties Marshall, Dekalb, Etowah and Blount.
