Job Description SUMMARY: This position is responsible for coordinating the shipping, receiving and warehousing of all products to ensure timely deliveries and quality products in the safest manner for Tyson customers. This includes monitoring all paperwork associated with payroll, hiring, vacation, etc.; scheduling of team member work-loads; providing a safe work environment; administering policies and guidelines established by OSHA, FSIS, and Tyson Food. Other responsibilities include: coordinating with our traffic department to ensure proper delivery dates are met; conducting department meetings to communicate goals and expectations; resolving conflicts with or between team members, customers, drivers, or other departments;coordinating repairs and ensuring all preventative maintenance is performed on a regular basis; requesting trailers to the plants to maintain proper work flow; administrative responsibilities; performing other responsibilities as needed.
REQUIREMENTS: Education: Requires education beyond high school including special training, vocational school and/or college courses. Experience: 5 + years' experience in a shipping, warehouse operation environment or meat industry at a supervisor level or higher is preferred; experience with warehouse management systems highly desirable. Computer Skills: Standard computer skills; Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills; formal presentations to various size groups on familiar work related topics. Supervisory: This position is responsible for managing multiple groups of personnel who perform dissimilar tasks and activities in several different departments. Travel: 5 + trips per year.
