Description

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks

This position is responsible for all preventive maintenance, including lubrication, adjustment, rebuilding, scheduled service, cleaning and assist operator on change over. Responsibilities include Maintain proper housekeeping in work area as well as keep equipment clean and orderly at all times daily checks of all equipment in their assigned area track and maintain all required records observe and promote all Plant Safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) specifications and any other assigned responsibilities by management. Candidate must be willing and able to lift up to 40 pounds be willing and able to walk or stand for 8-12 hours per day on hard floors withstand wet, humid, cold and hot environment ranging from 30 to 100 degrees. Corrected 20 20 vision is required to be able to distinguish colors. This position requires basic computer skills in order to complete require training and or tasks. Candidate must be able to identify parts and supplies needed to complete job tasks. Candidate must have the ability to verbally communicate material effectively in a training environment.

Requirements

One year of maintenance mechanic experience in one of the following environments manufacturing industrial, air craft maintenance, agriculture maintenance, or military maintenance OR have a two years of technical vocational education.
