Description

This position is responsible for entry level non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks

This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the plant in accordance with the Master Cleaning Schedule. This position is responsible for working with various chemicals, operating high pressure hose and air wand in cleaning, reporting any issues to the supervisor or lead and fill out various log sheets. This position is required to follow all Tyson safety rules, complete Lock Out Tag Out Training, Confined Space Training (which consists of a pulmonary function test), Fall Protection Training, and Scissor Lift Training. This position will be exposed on a routine basis to warm temperatures ranging from 65-90 degrees, wet and or humid conditions, slippery floors in some areas, and concrete floors. This position also may be exposed to air borne particles, and a noise level loud enough to require hearing protection. This position will require walking, bending, standing, and lifting up to 30lbs on a frequent basis. Must be able to tolerate heights up to 70 feet off of the ground on occasion and move heavy objects (100 lbs.) with mechanical device. Must be able to work a variable schedule to include every weekend and holiday.

Requirements

Must not have been employed by Tyson Foods in the last 3 years to be eligible for hire. Must be available to work overtime and weekends.
