Description

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks

Maintenance Mechanic positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. This includes repairing and maintaining the operating conditions of the machinery and equipment, troubleshooting problems that occur in the day- to-day operation of the facility. The position requires performing work involving hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity and mechanics in general as well as some welding. The Team Member will also set up, adjust and break down production line machinery and complete daily documentation that is required. The Team Member must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work while standing or walking on hard floors for a period of 10-12 hours. The Team Member must be willing to complete all required training for the job and perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must have six months of Maintenance experience. Must have six months of work history. Must be available to work all shifts, including weekends, and available for overtime. Must be able to communicate effectively to all employees and management to resolve mechanical failures as well as be able to read manuals in order to repair equipment safely. Must be able to work in hot and cold environments. Only candidates from the following counties will be considered Franklin, Benton, Walla Walla, Yakima, Grant, and Umatilla.
