This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
This position could work in any department of the Processing facility. Willingness to stand, walk, bend, stretch, turn, climb ladders, push, pull, and reach in all areas. Lifting 40+ in many areas. Must be able to tolerate climates ranging from very cold to very hot and form very wet to very dry. Must have general industrial maintenance experience. Applicants will be considered for any shift such as day, evening, or late night. Maintenance crews may be required to work 7 days per week. Scheduling can include some major holidays. Must be able to understand and agree to follow Safety Rules (ie. Lockout Tagout). Must be able to comply with OSHA standards. Must be able to read manufacturing manuals for repair purposes, read work orders and enter information on a computer SAP system which include but not limited to entering issues pertaining to the job and information that describes action taken to fix equipment. General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. Preventative maintenance is done on all machinery. You must be able set up, adjust and break down production line machinery. Must be willing to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out the daily
Must have prior industrial maintenance mechanical experience or completed formal schooling in the maintenance field in a recognized accredited college. Willingness to go up and down ladders and walk on gated surfaces. Applicants who have worked for Tyson before may be considered for rehire if they meet the location s rehire criteria. Applicants who have worked for Tyson before may be considered for rehire three times. Applicants that have a positive or adulterated drug screen or who are unable or refuse to give a sample will not be considered further and must wait a minimum of 6 months to reapply. Your application is only active for the current month in which you applied. You will need to reapply next month to have an active application and be considered for employment. Must have 12 months of continuous employment within the past 36 months with the same employer. Candidates that will be considered will be only from the Lancaster, Berks and York County.
