Job Description SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing all maintenance activities including corrective maintenance (CM), preventative maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) for various Computer/PLC controlled production equipment. The keys to success in this position are to utilize technical and leadership skills, and advanced maintenance systems and techniques to direct the safe and efficient operation of all manufacturing equipment while developing all direct reports.
Duties: Plan and implement effective procedures utilizing total productive maintenance (Reliability Engineering) strategies for the production & ancillary equipment. Works with the Maintenance Support Team and operational customers to develop "best practices" for maintenance activities. Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to plan, schedule and document all maintenance activities. Work to continually improve systems, equipment and human resources. Drive a maintenance culture that is focused on continuous improvement, positive morale and exceptional levels of customer service. Consistently demonstrate by example, Tyson Foods leadership behaviors focusing on how we accomplish, in addition to, what results we accomplish.
Education : High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Experience : 2+ years experience leading a high performance maintenance team. Advanced knowledge of highly automated production equipment systems. Proficient with the following: compressed air systems, 3 phase industrial power systems, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems, motor control systems, pumps and mechanical systems. The ability to identify and solve the root causes of problems. Understanding of Reliability Engineering pillars and implementation strategies. Computer literacy as well as CMMS experience. SAP experience will be a plus. Strong analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills. Excellent planning and organizational skills. Ability to communicate with all levels of the facility and organization. Ability to be resourceful, demonstrate business acumen, creative thinking skills and be able to act as a decision maker.
