Description

This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by insuring the Supervisor s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position will also monitor all equipment to insure it is working properly and notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks

1. Applicants will be considered for Lead position on 2nd shift in Evis department. 2. If an applicant meets the minimum requirements for consideration they may be contacted for an interview. 3. Applicants must be willing to work overtime and weekends. 4. Some departments are hot wet and some are cold wet. 5. Positions require lifting pushing, pulling or lifting over 40 lbs. 6. Requires lifting above shoulder level. 7. Position requires standing approximately 8.5 hours day on concrete floor or on metal stands. 8. Position requires assisting supervisors with the daily departmental operations and training Team Members. 9. Requires basic computer skills to enter collected DATA into system.

Requirements

1. Applicants must have at least 8 months continuous employment with one employer within the past 24 months to be considered. 2. Experience at least one (1) year experience working in poultry processing. 3. Recruitment will be from the following Alabama Counties Marshall, Dekalb, Etowah and Blount.
